For the second year running, The Berger-Marks Foundation is awarding $10,000 to a young woman leader in the social justice movement. The award, named after Edna Berger, a pioneer for women’s rights and the first woman lead-organizer for The Newspaper Guild-CWA, highlights contributions made by outstanding young women who are working to fuel social change. Their goal is to help support these extraordinary women in their endeavors and honor their demonstrated commitment and success.
This year, The SOLD Project’s very own Rachel Goble has been announced as one of the top 10 finalists for the Edna award!
Rachel Goble has been invited to be recognized at the Edna Award presentation and reception at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Wednesday night, Nov. 14, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m.
As the announcement letter said, “The roster of nominees for the 2012 Edna Award included so many
vibrant and effective young women activists. You should be very proud of your accomplishments.”
We’re proud of you, Rachel!
