Thai women rescued from sex trafficking ring in Cook County.

October 26, 2009

Three Southeast Asian women brought to this country as sex slaves will be heading back to Thailand after the Cook County Sheriff’s Department rescued them from a prostitution ring earlier this week.

Leaders of the sex ring allegedly confiscated the women’s passports when they arrived in New York three weeks ago. The women were told they needed to earn $60,000 to get the passports returned, according to a Sheriff’s Department press release.

The women were sent to work in New York, San Francisco and here in Chicago.

Investigators cracked the ring after responding to a local ad  promoting a a “super model, hot, sexy Asian bombshell visiting.”

Investigators called the number listed in the ad and were directed to a Schiller Park motel room where the women were waiting to perform sex for $160.

The ring organizers are not in custody and Sheriff Tom Dart says no charges will be filed against the three women who were prostituted.
