Prevention

How was your workweek last week? Not gonna lie. Ours was pretty awesome. There may have been some celebratory dancing.

Last Wednesday alone, we gained SEVEN Stand 4 FREEDOM sponsors!

This month, we began focusing on promoting our Stand 4 FREEDOM campaign by asking people to give just $16/month to help us support our prevention work in northern Thailand called The FREEDOM Project.

If you are already a scholarship sponsor supporting the education of an individual student in our program, we’re proud to say that not one dollar of your donation goes to anything but your individual student. It all goes into a personal account with their name on it.  But scholarships are only one piece of what we are doing to prevent child exploitation in Thailand.

As you probably already know, we also offer human trafficking awareness for the community, mentorship, and resources for the kids–such as English and art and computer classes. Our Stand 4 FREEDOM donors are the ones who support all of that–plus the Resource Center where it all goes down–and allow us to continue doing what we do on a daily basis.

Scholarships + Resources + Mentorship + Awareness = The FREEDOM Project

If you’re new to the Stand 4 FREEDOM campaign, learn all about it here! Already a SOLD supporter? You can earn free SOLD merch by getting your friends to sign up to support our prevention program for just $16/month.

Here’s our fancy schmany countdown board as we aim to meet our 2011 goal of having The FREEDOM Project fully sustained. We still have a long way to go–160 more people giving $16/week, to be exact. Then, we can maintain our current programming and support programs for at-risk students in the future.

Thank you to all of you who are helping to make our 2011 S4F kick-off a success!
